Outreach Volunteer

We are looking for individuals to support ongoing outreach efforts for Rape Crisis Center. Outreach Efforts include but are not limited to:

• Tabling Events: Staffing a table at area festivals/ fairs/ etc
• Short Speaking Events: Opportunities to describe services
• Brochure / Poster Distribution: Ensuring that RCC has a visible presence at identified locations.
• Other Special Projects as they arise (i.e. poster layout/ research/ etc.)

TRAINING:

• One evening training

EVALUATION:

• Completion of training program
• Check-in with Supervisor after each Outreach effort
• Three month check-ins

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet the availability requirement for at least the next 6 months:

• 1 weekend day/night per month
• ½ day/night during the week
• Must attend Outreach Volunteer Training
• Must have transportation
• Must have basic understanding of the dynamics of sexual violence

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 6 month commitment
• Follow all RCC guidelines , policies, and procedures for outreach events
• Represent RCC in an appropriate manner
