Program Director Job Description
The Rape Crisis Center of Dane County was founded in 1973 as one of the first such organizations in the country. Formed by volunteers dedicated to improving the response to victims of rape, the RCC's first service was the crisis telephone line, staffed by volunteers, which remains the core of our programming.

Since those early days, the services have grown to include comprehensive crisis response and specialized counseling for victims of sexual violence. Additionally, our commitment to ending such violence means that prevention and awareness programs are a crucial part of our work.

The RCC is committed to providing a healthy work environment for our dedicated staff and volunteers, in order to best meet the needs of those who turn to us for support in healing from the trauma they've experienced. We balance a warm, casual and supportive atmosphere with a commitment to professionalism and high quality services.

At this time, the RCC is seeking an exceptional, talented, and dedicated professional to oversee the counseling and crisis intervention services. As a key member of the agency's management, this person will work closely with the Director and have significant input into the RCC's future direction.
