Stayed Tuned for an Upcoming Class
The Rape Crisis Center periodically offers our advanced level self-defense class, Chimera II. The class includes a review of the techniques learned in Chimera I (A & B). Like all Chimera classes, the new techniques are practical and easy to learn and use.

The class covers topics such as:

• What If There's A Gun?: An introduction to firearms, myths & facts, verbal and physical self-defense strategies and practice.
• Advanced On-The-Ground Defenses: Falling safely, multiple assailants, free-style practice, and other physical defenses.
• Defending Against Knives & Other Weapons: An introduction to responding to knives and improvised weapons, verbal & physical defense strategies, and practice.
• Abduction & Carjacking Defenses: Safety in & around cars, how to prevent abduction of yourself & others, avoidance techniques & physical practice.

Chimera II is open to Chimera I (A & B) graduates. Many Chimera A & B classes are scheduled throughout the year, so see the schedule for any classes you would still need in order to take advantage of this special opportunity!
